PAWS - About Us

Our doors were opened on July 1, 1995 by Dr. Don Kubasch.  He started seeing patients out of his house and soon business grew enough that he converted his basement into a veterinary hospital.  When Dr. Kubasch retired in the fall of 2002, one of his co-workers, Dr. Katherine Miller, bought the practice.  Today, Dr. Miller works to provide the pets in our community with high quality veterinary care.

In November, 2005 we opened the doors on our new, fully modern clinic.
Located at 504 N. Main Street in Moscow, the clinic has state of the art diagnostic and care facilities.

Our reception area is large to accommodate our clients and their pets. We feature a wrap around reception area so we can assist more then one person and their pet at a time. We have our own store within our lobby, and we offer food, toys, and many supplies for your animals.

We have three spacious exam rooms which offer a comfortable atmosphere for you and your pet(s). Our exam rooms are used for Wellness Exams, Physical Exams, Vaccination Administration, Consultations, Nail Trims, Ear Cleanings etc..

Knowing that quality radiographs are fundamental to the accurate diagnosis of disease and illness in your pet, we have an on site x-ray machine with automatic processor.

Our treatment center has two stations where we perform most of our surgical preparation, as well as a third treatment station for our dentistry. Having three centers allows us to competently work on multiple patients at a time. This in turn reduces the wait time for our clients, as well as prevents a delay for routine/urgent patient care.

Our clinic features a state of the art surgery suite. We perform all of our surgeries from orthopedic to soft tissue in this sterile environment. Our surgery scrub is a separate entity which allows the suite to remain as sterile as possible. The suite is separated from the treatment center with two sliding glass doors. This allows for the reduction of noise and contamination.

Our clinic offers both an Intensive Care Unit as well as an Isolation Unit. This allows us to prevent the spread of illness as well as ensure that critical care patients are given the quiet, and recovery time that is needed.

Our Clinic offers boarding for both small dogs and cats. Our dogs are provided with three walks a day to allow time for play and exercise. Our cat boarding, features condo’s with both exterior and interior rooms. Boarding cats are given time out in the cat ward to allow the opportunity for play an exercise.
