Katherine Miller, D.V.M.

Practice Owner

Dr. Kathy Miller was born and raised on the Palouse and is very happy to have her family here! She completed her undergraduate career at the University of Idaho and graduated from Washington State University for Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She did move south to attend school but returned for her husband’s job.

Dr. Miller really enjoys the small town feel of Moscow and Pullman with the strong influence from the universities. She, her husband Jim, and their four children (Zachary, Sydney, Nathaniel, and Brianna) love the plethora of outdoor activities available on the Palouse.

The greatest influence in Dr. Miller’s career would be Dr. & Mrs. Kubasch, who she purchased the practice from!


Matthew Mason, D.V.M.

Dr. Matt Mason grew up in Spokane, Washington and completed his bachelors degree at Whitworth College, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He is a 2008 graduate from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Mason and his wife Allison are very happy to be raising their two children here. They have a little boy, Zachary, and a daughter, Julianna.

His greatest passions are spending quality time with his family and volunteering at church. He enjoys outdoor recreational activities, including hiking and fishing. Dr. Mason is an amateur woodworker as well. He enjoys making simple furniture for his home, as well other various wood projects.

Dr. Mason is passionate about internal medicine cases. It is exciting for him to make a diagnosis and be able to solve problems for his clients and their pets. He really enjoys the clients and the satisfaction he achieves by helping them when they are in need.

Katie Cohee

Customer Care Specialist

Katelyn started working at PAWS in January of 2015. She has 3 dogs, 2 cats, 5 house rabbits, and 10 chickens. Katelyn and her husband have 2 kids, and everyone keeps her very busy. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, especially her chickens and bunnies. She loves working at PAWS because it allows her to be surrounded by people who share the same passion for animals that she has.


Wendy Casner

Customer Care Specialist

Wendy started here at PAWS in May of 2019. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Physchology at Eastern New Mexico University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Pre-Physical Therapy. Wendy has two kids, Caleb and William, and Duke a 9 year old Golden Retriever. Wendy enjoys playing and taking her son, Caleb, to hockey practice and games when she is not working.


Chawna Crawford

Customer Care Specialist

Chawna started here at PAWS in May of 2019. She received an Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts degree from Spokane Community College and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology from Gonzaga. Chawna and her boyfriend, Nate has 1 dog, Titus Andronicus, a 12-year-old Puggle.


Heather Jarvis

Customer Care Specialist

Heather started here at PAWS in June of 2019. She spent 2 years at Texas A&M University at Commerce, in the pre-vet program. Heather and her husband, Levi, moved from Sulphur Springs, Texas to Idaho in 2018. Heather and her husband have 2 Calico cats, Malibu Coors, and Putter and a 5-year-old Blue Heeler, Bandit, and soon to be a Red Heeler! Heather enjoys chopping and stacking firewood with her husband, cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends and watching sunsets over Moses Mountain from their house.

Maranda Miller

Veterinary Technician

Maranda started here at PAWS in July of 2017. Maranda received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from WSU. Her favorite thing about working at PAWS is everyone cares for each other and all the animals the same amount. Maranda and her husband, CJ have 2 cats, Ellie and Gilbert, her husband has a tarantula, which she does not like, and about 9 fish. In the summer, Maranda and CJ enjoy camping, boating, fishing, pretty much anything outdoors. In the winter, Maranda enjoys being inside and watching lots of Netflix. Her favorite thing to do when not at work, is spending time in North Idaho.


Lindsey Hannas

Veterinary Technician

Lindsey started here at PAWS in March of 2019. She received her degree at WSU in Animal Science Livestock Management. She loves leather-working and playing with her dog when she is not at work.


Chris Lewis

Veterinary Technician

Chris started here at PAWS in April of 2019. She received her undergraduates degree in zoology and her Master’s Degree in Microbiology from Colorado State University. Chris and her husband, Laramie, have 3 cats and 3 dogs. Chris enjoys cooking, biking and hiking when she is not at work. Chris is a 2nd year vet student at WSU.


Sarah Edwards

Veterinary Technician

Sarah started here at PAWS in March of 2019. She is a 2nd year Vet student at WSU. Sarah enjoys hiking and weightlifting when she is not working. Sarah has 2 cars, Crunch and Baby Bean and a Kenyan Sand Boa, Bubbles.

Noell Swearingen

Technician Assistant

Noell stated here at PAWS in April of 2019. She spent 2 years at Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, California. She received her Vet Assistant Certificate at Pima Medical Institute. Noell loves spending time with family and being outdoors when she is not at work. She has 2 cats, Tank and Kitten Little.


Maddie Thompson

Technician Assistant

Maddie started here at PAWS in January of 2019. She is receiving an Animal Science Degree with a minor in Biology from WSU May 2020. Once she receives that, she will be pursuing an education in Veterinary Medicine also at WSU. Maddie and her boyfriend Brighton, have two amazing dogs, Murphy and Walker and their psycho cat Sebastian. Maddie and Brighton are a very outdoorsy family; When Maddie is not at work, her and Brighton love to go fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and kayaking. If there is anything outdoor, they enjoy doing it.


Kellee Knopp

Kellee started here at PAWS in August of 2019. She graduated from WSU with a Bachelor’s degree in animal and veterinary science. Kellee lives in Moscow with her wonderful Fiancé, Nick and their 3 dogs; Herbie, Vanellope, and Timber. Kellee plans to go to Vet school and has a passion for large and small animals

Spencer

Spencer was found on Spence Road in Moscow by a former PAWS employee. He enjoys taking long leisurely naps in Dr. Miller’s office. His favorite part of the day is when the Fed Ex driver stops by. Spencer sits by the door about the same time every day waiting for a treat from the Fed Ex driver!
